I am going to go on the Jared diet, if Jared can lose 100 lbs eating subway sandwiches then I can lose 10 with whole wheat bread, turkey/ham, lettuce, and tomatoes!
Got any tasty and lo-cal/carb ideas for sprucing up a sandwich? I'm thinking sprouts would be nice as well! (I knew I needed something from the market)
edit: I'll probably eat a sandwich a day, but the other meal will try to be healthy but it'll just be a normal one. I can't go cold turkey!

I make myself wraps every day with veggie seitan(from the fatfree vegan) and lots of lettuce and a low fat dressing with yoghurt. Healthy, nutritious and delicious!
Wraps are much easier to keep the calories down and the bulk up to fill you up as you can fit more lettuce in there! Good luck with it. Let us know how it goes...
You could probably do a Vietnamese style sandwich every now and again... shredded carrots, pickled veggies, cilantro. They usually have as much or more veggies than meat.
hi there
good luck man. i don't think i can hang with eating sandwiches everyday. more power to you!
Liar.
Jenny: Hum, good call on the wraps! i do like that more than whole wheat breads *yuck*.
tracey: part of me thinks that might not be very healthy hehe.
Canine: i'm a liar, its not every meal, its just a sandwich as a substitute for my normal meal.
Dude. You don't even eat sandwiches. You can't just do it cold. That means quitting Meung Truong. Thats not possible for you.
And then you can't put mayo on you sandwiches. And you can't have fatty meat. And you can't eat rice. No fried goods. You will have to make your girlfriend eat sandwiches with you. No.
Frank: I bought whole wheat bread, sliced lean turkey and ham, lettuce and tomatoes and light mayo ( i need a lil something!)
Make a smallish sandwich for lunch, and have a handful of nuts around 11am and 4pm to quiet the appetite. Remember, Jared could only lose the weight because he had aides. The aides kept him from eating and made sure he exercised 30 min. a day.
Just discovered your blog. Nice stuff. Keep it up and good luck on the diet. Being a foodie myself, I know I couldn't do it for long. Too many other things to eat.
When you get tired of sandwiches then make yourself some fish...very good for you.
